The inauguration at the Cinemes Girona on Monday, 6 July, will be the only on-site session in the festival, while the six full-length films and fourteen short films can be seen on the Filmin platform from 7 to 17 July.

There are 90,000 elderly people aged over 65 living alone in Barcelona. In order to extend the festival to them in a virtual format, the festival has created networks with various organisations and support channels. These entities already work on related projects, such as VinclesBCN, which connects network users with other people to mitigate loneliness.

The goal of the festival is to debunk prejudices and stereotypes about elderly people. Besides the films, there are also film forums and debates which can be seen on the festival website.
