Visibility and recognition for digital training with the IT Academy
The IT Academy tech training centre, operated by Barcelona Activa, held a graduation ceremony for students completing the course to become website programmers and data experts, two professions with the brightest future and most sought after by companies in the city. The centre has a labour insertion rate of 82%, with many students even finding work before they complete their training.
The IT Academy is a highly specialised ICT programme by Barcelona Activa. The training is focused on the areas of programming, data and security, in line with the ICT talent needs of companies in Barcelona. Businesses which contract professionals from the IT Academy are mainly start-ups and scale-ups, tech consulting companies and businesses undergoing a digital transition.
The IT Academy uses an innovative training model based on self-learning and teamwork, both face-to-face and online, with training paths that simulate a real working environment. Students access the training for free and get support and guidance from a mentor throughout the process.
