The second stage of the “ReActivating Barcelona” line of financial aid opens

The extraordinary fund will be allocated to large investment projects for commercial economic activities, services, restaurants and cafés, night-life and tourist accommodation. Applications can be made as of today, do not have to be linked to a ground-floor establishment, and may also be accessed by self-employed individuals or other types of enterprises without any need for the activity being carried out in premises.

The total amount for activities hardest hit by the Covid-19 pandemic is 8 million euros, which are joining the 12 million euros from the call launched this July and which is still ongoing.

Subsidies from this second line can be up to a maximum of 100,000 euros and cover up to 50% of the investment planned, which will have to be over 20,000 euros.

Initiatives eligible for subsidies are:

  • Conditioning and bringing comfort to establishments through internal renovation work
  • Investments in machinery and digitalisation of processes
  • Improving accessibility and inclusion for people with functional diversity
  • Investments for reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency and sustainability

Applications, which can be submitted until 17 September from this website, must be for work performed or awaiting performance between the declaration of the state of emergency (14 March 2020) and 31 December 2021.

The application must be linked to submission of an explanatory report of the investment project whose aim is to introduce, expand or improve facilities or the functioning of the activity.

Extension of the first call’s deadline

Submisions for the first call for “ReActivating Barcelona” subsidy applications can now be made up to 9 September. The financial aid can be asked for here. You will find further information from the ReActivating Barcelona website.
