The three new metro stations on the L10 Sud come into operation

Three new stations on the L10 Sud metro line are now in operation: Port Comercial - La Factoria, Ecoparc and ZAL - Riu Vell. The three new stations have been built on a viaduct from Carrer A to the logistics workshops area at Port de Barcelona, while the rest of the stations on the line are underground. The station of Port Comercial – La Factoria is by Carrer 27, near the Barcelona Maritime Captaincy and various car dealerships. The Ecoparc station is between Carrer 3 and carrer 4, in front of the TMB bus depot in the Zona Franca. Finally, the ZAL – Riu Vell station is next to the central maintenance workshops for the L9/L10 Sud metro line.

In terms of operating times, the new stations will be open daily from 5 am to midnight, the same as the stations of Mas Blau, Mercabarna and Parc Logístic on the L9 Sud.

This is the fourth extension to the L10 Sud, which initially opened with five stations (from Foc to Collblanc) on 8 September 2018. The extension as far as ZAL – Riu Vell means the line now covers a distance of 8.5 kilometres and has eleven stations.

Building the new stations and getting them into service, providing a metro connection for the city’s main industrial and logistics zone, required an investment of 120 million euros. The stations are expected to handle over a million passenger journeys a year.
