Volunteering at the beach: Let’s clean it up together

Volunteers cleaning up litter on the beach

Sign up for afternoon volunteering at the beach and be a part of the change!

After the summer, the beach needs our help to recover: cleaning the coast is something that everyone in the city can do to help look after our beaches and preserve the Mediterranean

Take part in this communal waste collecting event at the Sant Sebastià beach and the breakwater just below the Hotel W. Besides cleaning up and looking after the coast, you’ll have the chance to meet other city residents.

During the activity, we’ll be combing the beach to pick up waste before weighing and classifying it to become aware of the real impact of our exercise.

We’ll also get a first-hand look at the seahorse marine re-population project by L’Aquàrium de Barcelona, a key initiative in the conservation of the Mediterranean, as well as other experiences offered by the Aquarium.

Do your bit to help look after and improve our city and the Mediterranean and help protect the environment!

Come along with your family and remember to wear comfortable clothing and footwear to walk on the beach, plus a cap and sun cream.
