An essential part of Barcelona Community Day is that it is a meeting point. This idiosyncrasy is visible throughout all the facets of the event, including the schedule of activities, which inform the international community of the resources and potential to facilitate their arrival and integration on offer in the city. It is also manifest in the fair’s conceptualisation and creation process, which is the result of the teamwork and the partnership between public and private players.

Five leading companies are supporting the Barcelona International Community Day in cooperation with Barcelona City Council. They’re companies that are engaged in attracting and welcoming international talent and incorporating specific services for these people to provide personalised attention.

The sponsors of Barcelona International Community Day

The Banc Sabadell is the event’s premium sponsor. This is a financial institution that carries in its DNA taking care of internationalisation operations and foreign professionals, as well as any entrepreneurs and investors who come to Barcelona. Banc Sabadell has been the fair’s main sponsor since it was held for the very first time.

Page Personnel, a multinational recruitment and selection company that recruits temporary and permanent employees, and eres Relocation, a company specialising in the management of workers’ geographical mobility, are also current and past sponsors of Barcelona International Community Day.

Two new sponsors have been added this year, namely Clínica Corachan, one of the most prestigious private clinics in Barcelona, and MAPFRE, a multinational company operating in the insurance and reinsurance sector.

Spreading the word about the fair

Several media help to increase the visibility of Barcelona International Community Day. The main one is the La Vanguardia newspaper, the fair’s media partner. Other media partners that specialise in the community attending the fair are also involved in this task, such as ACN Catalan News, Barcelona Metropolitan, Expatica and Barcelona in English.

Barcelona International Community Day relies on the special involvement of the Catalan Sailing Federation, which will energise the activities in the games library, and the Barcelona International Schools Association (BISA), which will bring student volunteers to support the event.

A return to attending on-site

After the COVID-19 pandemic forced last year’s fair to go online, this year will be held in an on-site format on 23 October at the Maritime Museum. Admission is free of charge and tickets can be obtained at event website.
