Business mentoring for twenty SMEs

The support is provided by a team of 53 mentors with solid backgrounds in different sectors. This ninth edition has nine new mentors, three of them women.

The programme lasts eight months and the mentoring is provided in a group format, with three experts from different fields making a thorough analysis of each case. The support will be developed taking into account the current context of the pandemic and the different variables in each market, the priority being to reduce the adverse effects that this situation can have for companies.

Mentoring has been provided for over 200 people to date, with personalised advice through a network of a hundred mentors.

Methodology from a prestigious organisation for accelerating SMEs

The programme is being organised by Barcelona Activa, one of a hundred entities around the world which have adopted this methodology based on the Venture Mentoring Service from the MIT university in the USA, one of the most prestigious in the world.

The goal of the Mentoring Programme is to foster the acceleration of SMEs and strengthen the city’s business and employment network, creating quality jobs.

Barcelona Activa also has other mentoring projects, such as the Lidera programme, aimed at women executives and entrepreneurs, plus mentoring for start-ups at the business incubators located in the facilities in the 22@: Glòries, Almogàvers and Media-TIC.
