"Andrea De Siena: La ronda di Pizzica” show dins del "MAC Festival"
Andrea De Siena: La ronda di Pizzica (Italy) Rome, guest city (popular Italian dance workshop. For everyone)
Have you ever danced the tarantella? A specialist in traditional Italian dances, Andrea De Siena will get you dancing to a popular dance which, like this one, was used in ancient times to cure women who had been bitten by a tarantula: dancing hours and hours to an intense rhythm was, according to what they believed, the best way to expel the poison from their bodies.
The pizzica is danced in a circular space (la ronda); so the Prim de la Ciutadella roundabout will be transformed into a south-Italian square to offer this activity, led by De Siena and which everyone, regardless of age or physical condition, can join in. Singing, traditional instruments (bagpipes, tamburello, guitar and piccolos) and movements performed by Mina Vita will accompany us along this magical adventure.
Duration: 75 minutes.
