Molly Nilsson’s synth pop is made up of catchy tunes featuring keyboards and a deep, seductive voice, with magical choruses that follow her do-it-yourself premise: she records her albums and video clips herself, as well as running her own record label, Dark Skies Association, organising her own tours and designing her album covers. Since 2008, when she released her first LP, These Things Take Time, she has been expanding and experimenting with her sound, reaching the punkier and angrier sounds of her latest album, Extreme, which she is presenting this year at the BAM Festival.
