With the hit Estiu (2014), which achieved 1.5 million plays in a short space of time, ZOO turned the Catalan music scene upside down. Fresh, committed, quality lyrics and once again the south, Gandia, making waves in the north. It has been nine years since the release of Tempestes vénen del sud, their first, must-have acclaimed album and ZOO have been on the go ever since. Since then, they have released two LPs, had successful tours, visits and performances in Berlin, Budapest (Sziget Fest), Breslau (One Love Fest), Palestine, London and Japan, and have had a number of sell-out concerts. 2020 was the year that brought their work to a halt: there were no live concerts but the group cooked up a new album which firmed up their position on the national music scene.

Rap, breakbeat, rock and ska are mixed with electronic rhythms in ZOO's music, and they have managed to revamp the protests song with this mix of styles. Their songs always address topical political and social issues, they are brave protest songs, the scourge of the powers that be and inspiring musical revolts. Because art is a good way to revolution.
