Helping their listeners have a great time, as well as opening up awareness, forging culture and creating community through music. These are the goals of La Otra Rumba. You’ll see how they do it in this DJ set, where their choice of vinyls includes all sorts or Latin rhythms such as salsa, cúmbia, merengue and other rhythms of African origin. All of this comes accompanied by dance and minor percussion such as maracas, the bongos, bells and the güiro.

La Otra Rumba are Patxekito, Re-sister and Celia Crew, three figures with a passion for music in a vinyl format, addicted to music and collecting. You’ll see how their use of analogical reproductions recaptures Afro-Caribbean rhythms ranging from salsa to zouk, soukouss and funk.
