Neighbourhood popular culture display: Giants in Plaça de Joan Coromines

Not even the strange circumstances we are currently experiencing could keep the giants, dwarfs and bighead figures at home. They were desperate to get back in contact with the city's residents and so will be starring in performances and dances across the city. Depending on where you live, merely popping your head out of the window might be enough to catch a glimpse of them. Keep an eye out for them!

The city’s popular culture institutions have spared no efforts in adapting to the circumstances generated by the Covid-19 health crisis. Aware of the large groups of people that tend to gather and that certain activities do not make it possible to maintain the necessary social distancing, some will not be held this year, although an alternative way of getting residents involved has been proposed: a series of stationary dances involving giants, dwarfs and bighead figures, drummers, dragons, fire beasts and groups of devils.

You can check the access conditions and special safety and prevention measures for Covid-19 on the website for the venue itself.  Most activities require participants to register in advance using the organising entity’s website.
