The big voluntary association festival is going online this year

[ 03.09.20 ]

Associa’t a la Festa, Barcelona’s big annual association festival, is renewing its date with La Mercè but online this time, due to the special circumstances we are facing.

Perhaps it won’t be possible to fill Plaça de Catalunya with publicly-attended activities this year but Barcelona City Council and the city’s associations have been working together to find an alternative that will enable the festival to be celebrated in a safer way.

As you can imagine, the 2020 Associa’t offering has had to be reduced and limited, and transferred to a virtual environment. Despite that, the online offering is still attractive and maintains the spirit of the celebration, a festival that highlights the values and transformational work of the association movement and community in the city.

While the La Mercè festivities are on, you are invited to visit the associat.barcelona website, from where you will be able to share a number of association, communication and awareness activities. Note these down:

Ràdio Associa’t: From 24 to 27 September, association radio station airwaves will be demonstrating their community energy and broadcasting a series of special two-hour programmes.

Audiovisual ad on the association community: Do you realise the association movement’s value and the big advantages of working together with someone who shares the same interests? An audiovisual ad that will be published by social media explains. The message that will be sent to every corner of the city is clear: ‘Join an association and change your life!’

Off Associa’t: Finally, the website will also be highlighting all the activities the city’s associations and organisations are promoting and running to coincide with the Festes de La Mercè.
