Open day at Poble Espanyol

24 and 25 September 10 am to 8 pm

The Poble Espanyol will be joining in the celebrations for La Mercè, Barcelona’s big annual festival, with two open days for city residents!

Take advantage of this opportunity to take a stroll around the site, discovering the architecture, craft workshops, audiovisual installations and the exhibition "Un viatge fotogràfic. La construcció del Poble Espanyol” [A Photographic Journey. The Building of Poble Espanyol] and much more. The exhibition tells the story of its origins and the construction process. Immerse yourself in the journeys that architects Ramón Reventós and Francesc Folguera Xavier Nogués and painter Miquel Utrillo undertook in 1927 and 1928 to gather the information that would make the project a reality - a project that was not intended to be permanent, but to be pulled down at a later date.
