"Pallasses del món", as part of the "MAC Festival

Jimena Cavalletti, the La Senyoreta company, Lola González, Cristi Garbo, Xicana, the Gisela de Foc company: Pallasses del món (Catalonia)

How much laughter is there in the world? A globe of the world will provide these clowns with the opportunity to marvel at the amount of happiness on our planet and share the news with the world. The world turns and the clowns travel, sharing their adventures with a generous helping of comical ploys and buffoonery. This is a potpourri of clowns that includes such artists as the Gisela de Foc company, the La Senyoreta company, made up of a female narrator, animator, puppeteer, clown and an actress who is one (Mireia Peña) and many at the same time; Lola González, who has studied with big names from the world of clowns including Merche Ochoa, Jango Edwards and Leo Bassi; Xicana (Anna Montserrat), who knows how to do everything (circus, pantomime, puppets, commedia dell'arte, Chinese opera and so on), but who has always felt particularly drawn to magic; Cristi Garbo, a multi-faceted artist with an extensive professional career who has worked with the Cataclown company, Theatre Complicité and La Cubana, and Jimena Cavalletti, an actress and clown from Buenos Aires.
They've worked together and separately with Clowns without Borders on projects in Lebanon, Burkina Faso, Jordan, Syria, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Haiti, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Colombia and in many venues throughout Spain. What’s more, they take the lead on projects run by the NGO dedicated to improving the emotional situation of women who have suffered from gender violence, in Spain and around the world.
