Formed by twin sisters Kristina and Sadé Alleyne, Alleyne Dance is one of the UK's most innovative dance companies, a company par excellence that will be visiting the Mercè with a creation inspired by the life experiences of its creators. Bonded explores the construct of human dependency, especially that of siblings – and how time and external conditions can affect the synergetic connection, strengthening or weakening it. An exploration that takes on a particular poignancy in tje hands of identical twins: their way of working and communicating with each other is based, above all, on connectivity.
Alleyne Dance developed their knowledge and training in urban dance, African dance and kathak, within a context of contemporary dance. The company passionately employs this fusion of styles and movement: it is multiculturalism applied to dance. For this reason, they confess that they feel the need to share it with people from all over the world, from all cultures and of all ages, to inspire them.
Bonded invites the audience to embark on a transitional journey of inter-and-independency , of physical and emotional links and ties, through dance. A transformational journey.
Duration: 30 minutes.
