Les ombres is a story of exile, explained through dance. From an African village, the starting point of an uncertain journey, to a European city, the journey’s end, with the show making stop-overs in the implacable desert, African cities where chaos reigns, and the sea, the last stage of a journey full of hope and disillusionment. There is anger and pain, but also energy and a profound vitality.

Breakdance, house and other hip-hop dance styles merge with traditional African dances in a powerful, vigorous show led by the choreographer and dancer Antoinette Gomis, an international talent who storms into La Mercè to raise the Catalan public's awareness about realities they do not always know about.
