Show "El Ritme del Carrer" dins del "MAC Festival"

Rudy Alvarado, a real dance and urban culture expert, promotes the activities of El Ritme del Carrer [Street Beat], a place where, throughout the day, you can find workshops, performances, events and much more.
From 12 noon to 2 pm:Come and dance dancehall at Ritme del Carrer (Barcelona; dance; for all ages). Rafa Ponferrada (aka Rafa Redvolcon) is one of the big names in Spanish dancehall, and no wonder, because he travelled to Jamaica to train with all the best teachers. For the Festa Major, he has decided to show you how to dance dancehall, whether you are fathers, mothers, children or grandparents. He is one of the best: not only has he won a lot of competitions, but he also choreographs his own company, a very prestigious group in this scene called One Love Inna di Place.
From 5 to 7 pm: Open Styles Competition (Diverse origins; dance; for all ages). Eight urban dancers face off, dancing open-style urban dances and, as the competition progresses, forming groups of participants, which compete against each other. This is a genuine Ritme del Carrer format which, year after year, creates a strong connection between the participating artists.
From 12 noon to 2 pm: Come and dance hip-hop at Ritme del Carrer (Barcelona; dance; for all ages). Izaskun Ortega, aka Miss Izzy, will teach the whole family to dance hip-hop with her impressive rhythm and energy. This artist of Andalusian origin started in show business at a young age, and she has already won notable competitions, as well as being the organiser of such renowned events as Funky Training and Lock is not a Joke.
From 5 to 7 pm: Breakdance Competition (Diverse origins; dance; for all ages). Do you like breakdance? Here you will see talented exponents of this urban dance style face off in a competition between eight artists, who will start forming groups as the event progresses.
