La Xarranca: Juga i juga (Catalonia; games; suitable for all ages).
This space will be filled with more than forty-five traditional games. You’ll find some played on large boards: from a four-in-a-row that’s over a metre high, to a two-metre-long game of who’s who, a juego de la oca, (a bit like snakes and ladders) a fishing game and lots more, all on a grand scale and designed to develop ingenuity, memory and skill.
This is what mobile games library La Xarranca has in store for everyone. La Xarranca began its life in the year 2000, born out of the realisation that traditional children’s games were gradually being replaced by consoles, computers, and video and electronic games. By giving these traditional games massive dimensions, their creators have managed to grab children’s interest. Take your own kid along and see for yourself!
