It seems that Poblenou does not want to leave its historical identity behind. However, there remains a feeling of uprootedness that hovers over the public’s collective consciousness. The neighbourhood is calling for a return to its identity because it has lost its authenticity. Where there has been constant change, there is always a desire for constant renewal, simply by remembering the textile past that is so prevalent in this neighbourhood. The aim is to create a collective vibration and reclaim Poblenou’s authentic identity. The courtyard of the Pons Factory is a space without personality, a thoroughfare, with a layout that invites the space to be arranged like a theatre stage, where people seem to be taking part in a play they themselves are performing. Taking advantage of the breeze, the project includes fixed elements and fabrics that dance to the rhythm of light. The chimneys of light and clotheslines that adorn the space play with the light and invite passers-by to experiment.
