Circuito Liminal [Liminal Circuit] is a media art installation that brings together light and technology to explore the relationship between humans and machines, inspired by the cyberpunk movement. Using projections, lasers, LED lights and an old CRT monitor, the work creates a setting where the tech aesthetics of the past and present coexist, evoking both nostalgia and a vision of an uncertain future. The installation represents an industrial landscape that reflects humans’ dependency on the digital realm, highlighting the tension and fascination with our electronic creations.

The central monitor, obsolete, acts as a symbol of our own identity, reflected in the machines, while the lights and colours simulate the flow of data and energy that connects human beings to technology, questioning the limits between human autonomy and mechanical intelligence and inviting viewers to reflect on the fusion between our lives and the circuits that surround us.

BeatMe Lab Studio was founded in Barcelona in 2015 as a multidisciplinary creation platform focusing on new media art, lighting design and all areas of the audiovisual field. Our main mission is to tap into the full potential of new technology in art. We work with visual arts, specialising in the creation of video projection mapping, and also explore new forms of representation, encouraging interactiveness and leading the way in the development of LED technologies through pixel mapping, DMX lighting and lasers.
