The imperfect gaze

Thousands of nooks and crannies discovered on foot. That is how Leo Garcia retraced all the neighbourhoods of the city to build the new image of Betevé.

Looking for a different look, avoiding well-known monuments and images, Leo Garcia moves us away from Barcelona as a brand and brings us closer to the city’s mindset through his snapshots. This selection of images is a sample of The imperfect gaze, a photo essay on the city’s seventy-three districts. Promoting authenticity, the beauty of everyday life and real engagement with the people, it ended up showing imperfection in a premeditated way, as none of us are perfect.
