Everyday use of bicycles as a means of urban transport requires parking spaces for them at departure and arrival points: neighbourhoods with residential activity, urban facilities, central activity points, parks, green areas and squares, transport connections and the bicycle network itself.

Anchor points
Bicycle parking places can be found throughout the city They are called anchor points and, where possible, you are recommended to anchor the bike by the frame and the wheel. These bicycle parking places, found on public thoroughfares, are for the sole and exclusive use of bicycles.
More places
A study is currently being carried out to identify areas where there is a shortage of public parking places. Based on the results of the study, the plan is to increase the number of ground-level bicycle parking places, in order to encourage cycling in the city. The target is 30,000 places.

Underground
There are more than 1,000 places available in underground car parks and car parks at specific locations in the city.
The plan is to increase the number of places in B:SM and SABA car parks by 29% in the near future. In addition, the Council aims to provide 200 places at public transport stations and 1,000 places at city facilities.
And to facilitate the use of e-bikes, electric recharging points will be installed close to municipal buildings and facilities, cycle lanes, areas where e-bikes are used a lot and other places where they might be needed.
