Documentary fund gathered by the former director of the Frederic Marès Museum, Dolors Farró Fonalleres, the result of her work - not exclusively related to the Frederic Marès Museum - and research in the field of museums and especially collectors' museums. The fund was donated to the Museum in 1998, shortly after the death of Dolors Farró, by her husband Jordi Lladó. It is currently kept in the premises of the Documentation and Research Centre.
Dolors Farró and Fonalleras (Girona, 1948 - Barcelona, 1998). Museologist and art historian. She began her career as a teacher in Girona and Barcelona. In 1974 she started working at the Museum of Art of Catalonia, currently MNAC, and for some years she was in charge of the education department. He completed a degree thesis on history museums, based on the specific case of the History Museum of the City of Girona, which was edited by the Museums Service of the Generalitat of Catalonia. In 1985 she joined the Frederic Marès Museum and was its director between 1990 and 1994, a period in which she gave a strong impetus to the cataloging and publication of its holdings and to the new ideological discourse for the future remodeling of the permanent exhibition.
