Description of the activity
The main objective is to approach the language, techniques and historical significance of sculpture. The visit, in the first part, will allow us to approach, through Frederic Marès's own plastic, procedures and techniques of the most orthodox sculptural discipline (modelling, casting and stone carving).
In a second part, a practical application of these contents will be carried out in a selection of works that go from the classical period to the 19th century.
Methodology
It will start from a series of activities that, while following a teaching-learning sequence, favor observation, the adoption of a specific language when talking about sculpture, the ability to analyze, the formulation of hypotheses and open participation in the debate. This methodology aims to make students feel like protagonists in their learning process and to obtain significant knowledge at the same time.
