The freedom to be in the neighborhoods
The whole city gets involved in the commemoration of Pride. Local facilities across all of Barcelona’s neighbourhoods and districts organise activities for the event. Libraries, civic centres, young people’s spaces, neighbourhood centres… This wide range of offerings highlights the diversity of perspectives and realities of the various LGBTI groups.
It is a local, intergenerational, transfeminist and intersectional programme that intensifies during this period, but is actually going on all year round thanks to collaboration with the different agents that work all over the city to champion LGBTI rights.
Because Barcelona loves and is proud of its diversity, because we cannot take even a single step backwards when it comes to rights, and because everyone who lives in our city must be able to express and experience their identity freely and safely.
All activities
The program of activities for the Neighborhood Pride has been promoted by the Barcelona LGBTI Center, managed by the Platform of LGBTI Entities of Catalonia, as well as by the civic centers, libraries and facilities of the various neighborhoods of the districts, which work throughout the year to claim LGBTI rights and make visible the plurality of realities and perspectives of LGBTI groups.
During these days you can enjoy exhibitions, round tables, concerts, storytelling and many other cultural, artistic, festive and protest proposals aimed at all audiences, from the youngest in the house to the elderly.
