L'Orgullosa, or Gay Pride, throughout the city
A month full of activities and music
L’Orgullosa, or Gay Pride, will be touring the city’s districts during the month of June, in a decentralised programme that brings the festival to the city's neighbourhoods for everyone to enjoy. There are over 100 artistic proposals that highlight the plurality of perspectives in the LGBTI community. An intergenerational, transfeminist and intersectional programme designed in partnership with the organisations, museums, libraries, civic centres and stakeholders in each district, which work all year round to further LGBTIQ+ rights.
There will be a tribute to Flor del Campo, listening to flamenco in his neighbourhood of La Trinitat; you can take part in an event for diverse families in Sant Martí; share an afternoon with Sarao Drag in a Gràcia square; help to sew a multi-coloured dress that symbolises the deconstruction of gender, listen to a choir of local residents singing about the LGBTI community over time, and take part in a group workshop to change the names of children’s tales so sexually dissident families are included in them. And you can also enjoy performances by Isabel do Diego, Gabriela Wiener, Fito Conesa, Sara Manubens, Missex, Personaje Personaje, Cobalto, AL-V o Me Siento Extraña and others.
These are just some of the highlights of the L’Orgullosa programme, which you can consult by district and dates, using the search engine listed on this page.
