Dialogues for Sant Jordi

As a prologue to Sant Jordi’s Day, Barcelona Libraries offers a space where authors and readers can meet

As part of the Reading Action Programme, Barcelona Libraries brings back Dialogues for Sant Jordi: three days of conversations among writers, based on the affinity of their latest works, and talks with international authors. For this project, the El Clot - Josep Benet Library (the Disseny Hub Barcelona auditorium) and the CCCB become places where people can talk about books and literature.

From the language and music of Ancient Greece to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Dialogues of Sant Jordi proposes a unique journey covering some of the most outstanding authors of today's literary panorama: Blanca Llum Vidal, Agustín Fernández Mallo, Maksim Óssipov, Eva Baltasar, Laura Gost, Marta Carnicero, David Trueba, Juan Tallón, Orhan Pamuk, Santiago Auserón, Pedro Olalla, Jo Nesbo and Núria Bendicho. Furthermore, Dialogues for Sant Jordi will also include the celebration of the 100th anniversary of PEN Català, presented by the writer Burhan Sönmez, the president of PEN International.

Dialogues for Sant Jordi, which will be mediated by writers and cultural journalists, is a Barcelona Libraries project, with the collaboration of Barcelona City of Literature, the Disseny Hub Barcelona and the CCCB.

This year, the best stories are happening at Barcelona Libraries.
