Ferida-Cos-Ciutat:  Subterfuges of the Overflowing City

This edition of the ephemeral architecture competition for young people, Desbordaments. Ferida-Cos-Ciutat, invites a critical exploration of urban crises—not just as material issues but as social, political, and symbolic wounds that tear through the fabric of the city. The metropolis, viewed as a living organism, reveals its fractures through invisible gaps: liminal spaces, the margins of gentrification, and forgotten corners that challenge planned urban logic.

The competition encourages participants to design an ephemeral artefact to intervene in one of these urban spaces of resistance, aiming to make them visible and create new narratives. Architecture, in this context, becomes a tool for transformation and dialogue, provoking reflection on the vulnerabilities and resistances of the contemporary city.

The winning proposal will serve both a spatial and symbolic function, transforming into an agora for collective debate on the urban processes of the capitalist city and the hidden stories that reside within its overlooked interstices.
