An event to relive the design of the 80s and 90s with Jorge Pensi, Josean Díez, and Juli Capella, accompanied by historic pieces from the era.
An event that pays tribute to one of the great icons of contemporary furniture: the Gorka chair by Akaba, and to the creative talent that shaped the evolution of Spanish design in the 1980s and 90s. And of course, this can only be done with the presence of our dear and provocative Juli Capella. Together with Jorge Pensi and Josean Díez (Akaba), we’ll explore the origins, evolution, and ongoing relevance of a chair born with an industrial spirit that, over time, has made its way into museums, public spaces, and homes around the world.
A unique opportunity to discover anecdotes, creative processes, and the values that, three decades later, still make Gorka a benchmark. In addition, the space will host an exclusive exhibition of historic pieces that defined an era: M.O.R. Sillón, TÍO PEPE, GARRIRIS, BISCUTIER, TORERA… A must-see visual journey to relive the bold, irreverent, and innovative spirit of the 80s and 90s.
