The present and future of major healthcare facilities in the city

The second day of the conference will focus on the role of healthcare facilities in shaping the city and their evolution over time. Through presentations and roundtable discussions, topics such as primary care in shared spaces, the creation of new health districts extending beyond Barcelona, and the development of hospital environments integrating teaching, research and community services will be addressed.

The conference invites reflection on how these spaces can become drivers of urban innovation, foster proximity and offer new uses to citizens. With the participation of leading experts and institutions, the focus will be on exploring how to design facilities better adapted to current and future challenges, both functionally and in terms of urban planning. This is an opportunity to rethink the relationship between health and the city from a cross-disciplinary and collaborative perspective.
