Joan Molet presents the work of the architect

The event will feature the participation of the book’s author, Joan Molet Petit, art historian Isabel Coll Mirabent, and Jordi Valls Riera, councillor for the Eixample District.

Pere Falqués, l'arquitecte municipal de la Barcelona modernista traces the professional journey and architectural legacy of Pere Falqués, from his early days as a municipal architect in his hometown of Sant Andreu de Palomar, and later in Sant Martí de Provençals and Badalona. The book explores how Falqués established himself in Barcelona, winning major commissions such as the renovation of the Liceu and the redevelopment of Plaça Catalunya, and how he became part of the select group of architects chosen for the 1888 Universal Exhibition.
