Discover the new urban ecosystem between Plaça de les Glòries and the Sant Martí district
This guided tour explores some of Barcelona’s most innovative green spaces. The starting point is the renovated Avinguda Meridiana, which leads to the newly developed Plaça de les Glòries. Here, visitors can already experience areas such as La Gran Clariana and, soon, the Southern Section (scheduled for completion in 2026). These spaces integrate nature through rain gardens and biodiverse areas that help filter water and refresh the surroundings.
The walk continues through the 22@ district, showcasing green spaces that reinvent urban living. From the Ca l'Aranyó Gardens, where benches are integrated into large planters, to the Miquel Martí i Pol Gardens next to the Can Framis Museum, which evoke a small wild forest in the heart of the city.
Next, we head along the Eix Verde, following Carrer dels Almogàvers and the Superilla del Poblenou, until we reach the Parc Central del Poblenou—a large green lung shielded from noise and traffic. Finally, we arrive at the Cristóbal Moura Green Axis, a vegetation-filled corridor with sustainable systems that manage water naturally.
Throughout the route, we’ll witness how the city is transforming by replacing concrete and asphalt with green, pleasant, and sustainable spaces.
