    Renovated industrial building housing a fine arts university in Barcelona’s Poblenou neighbourhood. The project uses the existing structural frame to adapt the interiors to the required programme, always maintaining the building’s industrial heritage as the main value to preserve.

    Its priority is to offer the best performance and spatial quality possible with minimal intervention. Specific, targeted work on the pre-existing structure activates all the spaces: two floor openings are placed strategically to establish a visual connection between the ground floor, which is more fragmented and hosts a specific programme, and the first floor, a large 39x23 m multipurpose space with an imposing vault.
