From the 20th February you can see the two sculptures in bronze of Emili Fontbona (1897-1938) given in the Museum by Francesc Fontbona in the Showcase of the courtyard:

Sailor of Tarragona and Woman of Amposta, dated in 1902.

The edition of these two bronzes is an initiative of Francesc Fontbona, grandson nephew of the sculptor and owner of the sculptures original in mud, which authorized the edition in bronze to the instigators of the project, Núria Gil, teacher of the University Rovira i Virgili and Joan Sabaté, president of the Casino of Amposta.

This only edition is of limited edition, it has made in bronze with patina of brown color and some of the main museums of the country has been given in with the objective of spreading the work of this sculptor: Museum of Montserrat, National Museum of Art of Catalonia, Museu Sandstone from Modern Art of Tarragona and Museu Frederic Marès.
