Green axes: carrer de Bolívia

The urbanized stretch of c/Bolívia is part of the traffic-calmed axis that begins in Selva de Mar and takes in amenities such as Can Ricart, Ca l’Aranyó, the National Theatre and L’Auditori. Curbs are removed from the roadway for the circulation of residents and services to give prominence to the neighbourhood, to green, sustainable mobility and to local commerce. The use of rainwater is maximized thanks to the permeable surface that helps to conserve the trees, complemented by new species and shrubby plants to promote the naturalization of the whole space, despite the number of service infrastructures that will be undergrounded. This new green axis uses the Districlima network, allowing the more efficient heating of buildings and domestic hot water; the SUDS drainage system to reduce the risk of flooding, and a pneumatic waste collection network. Following this landscaped axis, the passage between c/Bolívia and c/Perú is also urbanized, and the pavement is widened in front of the future developments at L’Escocesa.
