The aim of this workshop, run by Societat Doctor Alonso, is to excavate words and strip back layers and additions in order to expose the basic roots, the material that words have in common.
As the session progresses, participants will have the chance to unearth a certain word and, together, reach down to its primeval meaning.
The interest lies not in what each person thinks about the term in question, but what is happening within the group during the excavation process. In the resistances, discoveries and chance occurrences that are experienced as a group. It is not about reaching a more or less predictable verdict concerning what each person thinks about the chosen word, but rather a collective action of reconstructing a shared basis for concepts that determine forms of behaviour.
