10.1 million euros awarded in B-Crèdits in little over a year

815 B-Crèdit loans have been processed since October 2020, a credit line established in response to the pandemic to provide liquidity to businesses hit hardest by it. Most of the loans, 76%, have been awarded to small and medium-size enterprises and to self-employed individuals.

Among the transactions carried out, 245 were regularised during the final months of 2020 and 565 in 2021. The amounts handed out were 3 million euros and 7.1 million euros respectively, totalling 10.1 million euros and corresponding to 84.2% of the expected funding.

Notable above all, by sector, were the loans processed for activities relating to the visitor economy (bars and restaurants, leisure, tourism, passenger transport, shops and hotels), corresponding to 68% of the loans. Some 1,400 jobs are estimated to have benefited from the 815 B-Crèdits awarded during that period.

The loans can be up to a maximum of 12,500 euros during a period of 5 years, under an initiative established jointly with the Catalan Institute of Finance (ICF) and Avalis Catalunya, and provided through Barcelona Activa.
