Disruptions to mobility for La Mercè Fun Run 2025
The 10 km run starts in C/ Aragó and ends in Pl. Catalunya. The main disruptions to mobility start on Saturday.
During the event, which is expected to last from 8.30 am to 11.30 am, streets will be closed to traffic from 7.30 around the entire route:
Aragó – Casanova – València – Pg. Sant Joan (side nearest the Llobregat) – Pl. Tetuan (side nearest the Llobregat) – Pg. Sant Joan (side nearest the Llobregat) – Pg. Lluís Companys (side nearest the Llobregat) – Pg. Pujades (side nearest the mountains and side nearest the sea in the opposite direction) – Pg. Picasso (central section) – Av. Marquès de l’Argentera (whole road, except for two lanes on the side nearest the sea from Pla de Palau to Pg. Circumval·lació) – Pla de Palau (side nearest the mountains) – Pg. Isabel II (side nearest the mountains) – Pg. Colom (side nearest the mountains) – Pl. Portal de la Pau (side nearest the mountains) – Pg. Josep Carner (side nearest the mountains) – Pl. Drassanes (three lanes on the side nearest the Besòs – mountains) – Av. Paral·lel (side nearest the mountains) – Entença – Floridablanca – Rda. Sant Antoni – Pl. Universitat (side nearest the sea) – Pelai – Pl. Catalunya (side nearest the Llobregat).
After the 10 km run ends it’s time for the La Mercè Family Run, with the same traffic restrictions to apply.
The restriction on circulation in C/ Aragó, from Bailèn to Girona (both sides), starts on Sunday 21, from 5 am to 11.30 am. The street will gradually be reopened to traffic once the runners go through each section.
Parking restrictions
The following parking restrictions will apply, including motorcycles on pavements:
From 7 am on Tuesday, 16, until 10 pm on Monday, 22, in Pl. Carles Buïgas, in the part behind the Pavelló d’Itàlia.
From 10 am to 8 pm on Friday, 19, and Saturday, 20, in Pl. Carles Buïgas, on the side nearest the mountains at the Pavelló d’Itàlia.
From 8 pm on Friday, 19, to 3 pm on Sunday 21, in Pl. Catalunya, on the road surface nearest the mountains on the side nearest the sea, between Pg. Gràcia and Rbla. Catalunya.
From 8 am on Saturday, 20, to 4 pm on Sunday, 21, in Pl. Catalunya, on the side nearest the Llobregat, between Pelai and Rda. Universitat.
From 2 pm on Saturday, 20, until 12 noon on Sunday, 21, in:
- Aragó, both sides and all corners, from Bruc to Pg. Gràcia.
- Aragó, side nearest the mountains, from Girona to Bruc.
- Bruc, both sides, from Consell de Cent to Aragó.
From 3 pm on Saturday, 20, to 12 noon on Sunday, 21, in:
- Lluís Companys, side nearest the Llobregat, from Comerç to Pg. Pujades
- Pelai, side nearest the sea, from Balmes to La Rambla.
- Universitat, side nearest the sea, from Pl. Catalunya as far as Rda. Universitat, 20.
From 8 pm on Saturday, 20, to 3 pm on Sunday, 21, in Pl. Catalunya, side nearest the mountains, road surface nearest the sea.
Vehicles that remain parked in these spaces despite the signage may be removed by the towing service.
People with reduced mobility will be able to park in:
- The road surface in Universitat, side nearest the sea, from Pl. Catalunya as far as Rda. Universitat, 20.
- The unsurfaced area in Pl. Carles Buïgas, on the side nearest the mountains at the Pavelló d’Itàlia.
Restriction on moving vehicles
Vehicles that remain parked, despite the signage and the measures adopted, in the streets around the route where parking has not been expressly prohibited may be immobilised to prevent them being moved during the event.
Vehicles parked in streets around the route where the direction is reversed will be cordoned off.
Public transport
The bus services affected, which will be diverted or have their routes limited, are as follows:
D20, D50, H10, H12, H14, H16, V9, V11, V13, V15, V17, V19, 6, 7, 13, 19, 21, 22, 24, 33, 34, 39, 47, 54, 55, 59, 63, 65, 67, 91, 109, 120, 121, 141 and Barcelona Bus Turístic (blue and red routes).
Bicing stations around the route will be out of service.
People are advised to get to the event using the metro, getting off at Universitat (L1/L2).
