Disruptions to mobility for the demonstration on Catalan National Day 2025
The demonstration organised by the Assemblea Nacional de Catalunya (ANC) for Catalan National Day, on 11 September, means traffic restrictions and diversions on Thursday around different streets in the area of the march. Public transport will also be affected from 6 am. People are advised to use the metro and to plan their journeys in advance.
The demonstration has been called for 3 pm in Av. Marquès de l’Argentera, and will set off from Pla de Palau at 5.14 pm. The event is due to conclude at 8 pm in Rambla Santa Mònica, and takes in Pg. Isabel II, Pg. Colom and Pla de Palau.
Depending on the evolution of traffic circulation, exits 21 (both directions and 22 (in the direction of the Llobregat) of the Ronda Litoral may be closed.
Parking prohibitions
Parking is prohibited (including motorcycles on pavements) from 6 am to 9 pm on 11 September, in:
- Avinguda del Marquès de l’Argentera (both sides), from Passeig de Picasso to Pla de Palau.
- Pla de Palau (both sides).
- Passeig d’Isabel II (both sides), from Pla de Palau to Via Laietana.
- Plaça d’Idrissa Diallo.
- Plaça de Correus.
- Passeig de Colom (both sides), from Fusteria to Plaça del Portal de la Pau.
Disruptions to bus services
- Morning (from 6 am to 2 pm). Services possibly affected: D50, H16, V15, V17 and 19.
- Afternoon (from 3.30 pm to 9 pm. Services possibly affected: D20, H14, V15, V17, V19, 19, 47, 59 and 120.
Disruptions to metro services
The stops expected to be affected most by large volumes of passengers are: Urquinaona (L1/L4), Jaume I (L4), Barceloneta (L4) and Drassanes (L3).
