New season at the 0-99 play area
The stall that lends games to members of the public in the large clearing in the Parc de les Glòries opens every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 am to 2 pm. Chairs, tables and parasols are set up in a space of around 150 square metres so that local people can play outside.
The Espai de Joc 0-99 is a service offering some 300 games for people of all ages to borrow:
- Classic strategy games
- Traditional games from around the world
- Building and dexterity games
- Games for young children and families
- Giant games (XXL)
- Wooden games
A team of assistants help people choose games, explaining the rules, encouraging interaction and ensuring the proper social use of the service.
The goal of the service is to stimulate collaborative and intergenerational play between people; promote social diversity and coexistence; regain public space as a scenario for interaction and social harmony, and create an attractive space for the local community, offering an alternative to screens based around healthy leisure in a natural open space in the city.
