Philosopher
Professor Peter Singer is a well-known moral philosopher, often credited with establishing the modern animal rights movement.
He is the author of several books, of which the best known are Animal Liberation, Practical Ethics and The Life You Can Save. The latter has led to the creation of a charity of the same name, which provides information and encourages people to make donations to charities which are most effective in saving or improving the lives of people living in conditions of extreme poverty.
