Once again the jazz club at plaza Reial joins the Festival with a selectin of great artists. Some represent the best NorthAmerican jazz and others are noted for its extraordinary vitality of the Barcelona jazz.
Under the drive and direction of the bassist Ivan Kovacevic, one of the great names of the jazz and blues scene, the Barcelona Big Blues Band has become one of the most powerful and sought-after bands of the swing, the jazz and the blues circuit in the country. Their energetic and wild sound, as well as sophisticated, gives it the status of a unique and irresistible band. One could say that it follows the tradition of bands like T-Bone Walker or Johnny Otis. Similarly, they carry their sound even further by incorporating top class soloists into their concerts. On this occasion we will have three excellent saxophonists, including Pere Miró, Big Dani Pérez and Spencer Evoy, in a special edition of the Sax-o-Rama into the Jamboree in the Grec.
