Animal Religion

Do you want to connect with the animal inside you? Well, this show, which fuses the expressive potential of the circus, dance and music, invites you to think about and accept your primary emotions through acrobatics.

The circus arts are as good a starting point as any to ask questions and challenge the way we live. Quim Girón does just this, as always adopting a comical stance to create a fascinating show inspired by the animal world. In Indomador, Girón presents a humorous meditation on what is human and what is animal. From this irrational universe, the Male and the Female will emerge, creating a hilarious satire about the difference between the sexes that marks our culture. What does it mean to be male, and what does it mean to be female? Who tames whom? The answer comes in the shape of a provocative fusion of contemporary circus, dance and music, this last ingredient provided by Mathieu Lemad Pernaud, the other half of the company. Animal Religion use surrealism and transgenic bodies, push spoons up their noses and perform acrobatics with heels to help us discover who we really are.
