Arantza Labuena

Four creators and performers establish a dialogue in which they speak of resistance and perseverance, as part of a series that puts artists in contact with the city’s museum spaces.

With varied experiences in the performing arts, the actresses Arantza López, Sarah Anglada and Bea Vergés perform on stage with the singer, songwriter and performer Marina Tomás, in a show that speaks about resistance and perseverance, in an exotic way, like an island of trees in the middle of the ocean, like a drop of fresh water in the middle of La Trinitat salt pans, like infinite patience, like a raised fist, two beating hearts, full hands... or like a group of women in the middle of a castle.

Kiri Island o com tenir un castell propi [Kiri Island or how to have a castle of your own] is being staged at Montjuïc Castle as part of the Creation and Museums series of stage productions, in which artists from various disciplines come into contact with Barcelona’s museums and cultural institutions, interacting with the installations and collections in a series of theatre, dance and musical productions.

A La Caldera and Castell de Montjuïc co-production.
