Flamenco jazz, funk and soul, gypsy, pop-soul. You will find all this and more in the programme that a jazz club with a history stretching back more than 50 years has prepared for the 2017 Grec Festival in Barcelona.
Few musicians as young and as talented as Mark Guiliana have a track record like the one that presents the credentials of this outstanding drummer. From Brad Mehldau, with whom he made the disc Mehliana, to David Bowie, whose posthumous legacy, Blackstar, he helped to complete, Guiliana comes across as a restless, versatile and surprising musician. The Italian American comes to the Jamboree as one of the current stars of world jazz, in the company of three first-rate soloists: Fabian Almazan on piano, sax player Jason Rigby, and Chris Morrissey on double bass.
