Mon pare és un Ogre

La Baldufa

Risky but exciting stories in unusual places. This is the speciality of a company that has, this time, created a show about good and evil for all audiences and that takes place in a cell.

Miguel, an adult man, grew up without his father, who spent most of his life in prison. Who really is this monstrous being that everyone knows as "the Ogre"? He finds this out one day when a former cellmate comes to visit him with a letter from his father. Upon reading the letter, Miguel discovers that the lonely, dark monster, that Ogre, has never once stopped being a human being thanks to the unlimited love he still feels for his son. The Good and the evil, especially the badness of the good and the goodness of the bad, as well as punishment, guilt, solidarity and justice are themes of a play that brings hope to a country of ogres. This terrible Ogre has a tender side and we get to see this from the small cell where shadows and joys, misgivings and friendship, solidarity and love all pile up.

All this forms part of this multidisciplinary theatrical assembly, full of stories and adventures that the protagonists live in their imaginations, and that show us that we are all Jekyll and Hyde at the same time. Yes, maybe contact with the darkest side of society stains and intoxicates us, but this show emphasizes the resistance of the human being to be led by the most sinister side of existence and is, therefore, a cry to hope full of emotion and feelings.
