The theatre of a Portuguese dramatist and director joins forces with the dance of a choreographer and dancer, and a performer. Together, they explore the transmission and dialogue between generations, using the climate emergency as a backdrop.

La Ribot and Mathilde Monnier also worked together in 2008, when they brought the duet Gustavia to the stage. On that occasion, Monnier, who is a leading French and international contemporary dancer, and La Ribot, a creator who uses dance as a starting point for multidisciplinary shows inspired by performance, visual arts and cinema, produced a duet full of humour that was based on classic burlesque. Now they are back together, directed by Tiago Rodrigues, an actor, director and dramatist who performed By Heart at last year's Grec, leaving the audience with happy, surprised smiles on their faces. However, this time the show is not structured around humour, but rather an exercise in intergenerational transmission. Both performers address their children, in order to tell them about the world of the future, sharing their thoughts about humanity, which due to the current climate emergency, is heading towards the abyss. La Ribot dances and also becomes an actress, while Mathilde Monnier uses movement to bring the fragile transmission from one generation to another to the stage.
Maria Ribot Castaño, better known as La Ribot, is an innovative creator with an extensive career in performance and video production. She started studying classical dancing in the 1970s but ended up taking ground-breaking shows to art centres, such as the Tate Modern in London, the Théâtre de la Ville and the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid. She returns to the stage with Mathilde Monnier, an artist who began her career in the mid-1990s. She has worked with leading figures on the stage and has created over 40 choreographies that have been staged at leading international festivals and theatres. The artists are directed by Tiago Rodrigues, the author of theatre that he conceives as a meeting place. In 2003, along with Magda Bizarro, he founded the Mundo Perfeito company, creating over 30 shows which have been staged in nearly 20 countries around the world.
