Sabine Dahrendorf / Josep Sanou

Enthralling and rich in symbolism, Perejaume’s writings are constant meditations on artistic creation with reference to all types of graphic signs and our ability to re-read them. How can Perejaume’s poetry and his discourse on creativity be translated into the language of movement? This is the challenge that the choreographer Sabine Dahrendorf tackles in this piece, the successor to the acclaimed El secret de les meduses, which was performed at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in September 2014. This new work is created by the co-founder of the Danat Dansa company and the author of shows like Bajo cantos rodados hay una salamandra and El cielo está enladrillado, among others. She is accompanied in this adventure by the composer Josep Sanou, who has written music for television and film as well as for theatre and dance productions by artists ranging from La Fura dels Baus to Javier Daulte. Together, they explore and convert into sound and movement the meditations that Perejaume pours discusses in his writing, as well as fragments from the works of William Shakespeare.
