Zeca Baleiro had been working as a composer and performer for 22 years when Gal Costa invited him to participate in the MTV Acoustic in 1997. That appearance changed the musical career of Baleiro, a Brazilian who became known to a mass audience by winning different prizes and getting nominations such as the best pop album for the Latin Grammys of the year 2000. He has published three albums, Por Onde Andara Stephen Fry, Vo Imbola and Líricas. If the first two are located in a pop territory, winking at the electronic sound, the last one is an intimate record, full of melancholy, critical of the conventions of the world.
